Check hackathon fit before spending a weekend on it
Use the directory to discover an event, then verify eligibility, deadlines and submission rules with the organizer.
A directory is a discovery tool, not the final authority on an event. Before committing time to a hackathon, check the organizer's current page and rules for the conditions that matter to you.
Verify participation conditions
Check location, online participation, age or student restrictions, team rules and permitted technologies. Keep the event timezone beside the deadline and confirm which stage that deadline refers to.
Read the submission requirements
Look for the required demo, repository visibility, licensing, judging criteria and use of sponsor technology. Distinguish registration from final submission. A completed registration does not automatically mean the project has been submitted.
Scope a demonstration you can finish
Choose a small user problem and decide what a judge can actually try. Make the working path reproducible and explain the evidence for its result. Share the event's official link and the exact question in the projects community if a rule is unclear.
