Hyperbloom September - AI/ML

Online AI/ML hackathon for high school and college students to build intelligent solutions to real-world problems. Build AI-powered apps, ML models, or intelligent agents where AI/ML is core. Solo or team participation, ending September 14, 2026.

参赛资格 / Eligibility

Open to students only who are above legal age of majority in country of residence. Companies and professional organizations are excluded. High school and college students eligible. All countries and territories eligible excluding standard exceptions. Solo or team participation allowed.

交付物 / Deliverables

Submit via Devpost by deadline: project description of 200-500 words explaining what was built and why it matters, GitHub repository link or approved alternative, list of all team members who contributed, disclosure of AI tools used and how they were used, and completion of post-event survey providing feedback on tools used.

评审 / Judging

Judged by panel on five criteria: Impact and Relevance 25% for meaningful problem and usefulness, Innovation and Creativity 20% for originality, Technical Implementation 25% for functionality and execution, AI/ML Integration 20% for central meaningful use of AI/ML, Presentation and Demo 10% for clarity and effective demonstration.

限制 / Constraints

Date fields above come directly from the platform; they take precedence over timing mentioned in the AI brief. AI/ML must play a meaningful central role, not just an added feature. Use of existing models, APIs, frameworks, tools, and datasets is allowed without training own model. No restrictions on project theme. Must comply with platform rules and standard territory exceptions. Timezone is explicit platform time.

投入 / Effort

Our estimate: Medium effort over about 3 weeks. Requires ideation, AI/ML development, GitHub documentation, 200-500 word writeup, and demo preparation. Suitable for small student teams using existing APIs and models without extensive model training.

奖金 / Prizes

Total 1710 USD in cash plus sponsored extras. First place 260 USD cash plus 2-year CodeCrafters VIP valued at 320 USD. Second place 180 USD plus 1-year VIP. Third place 120 USD plus 6-month VIP. Top 10 each receive custom domain. Additional Adaption credits for participants and winners.
